Ed’s Supply Hosts 2026 Annual Driver Safety Training
On February 7, 2026, Ed’s Supply hosted its Annual Driver Safety Meeting, bringing together 60 drivers from our Central, East, and West Tennessee locations, along with drivers from Coastal Supply. The event was a meaningful time of training, encouragement, and fellowship centered around one shared goal: keeping our drivers safe on the road.
The morning began with breakfast and time to connect with one another. It was a great opportunity for drivers from different branches to spend time together before the training sessions began. During breakfast, Lincoln Lakoff addressed the group and reminded our drivers of the value they bring to our companies and to the customers we serve every day. His message reinforced what we believe at Ed’s Supply. Our drivers are not just transporting products. They represent our company, build relationships, and play a critical role in our success.
We were honored to welcome several guest speakers who provided valuable insight and practical safety guidance.
Sergeant McCord of the Tennessee Highway Patrol reviewed the different levels of DOT inspections and explained what officers are looking for during each type. His presentation gave drivers a clearer understanding of compliance standards and how to be fully prepared if stopped for an inspection.
Justin Cunningham from Lockton Insurance spoke about the importance of eliminating distractions while driving. He emphasized how even a brief moment of inattention can lead to serious consequences. His message served as an important reminder that safety begins with focus and discipline behind the wheel.
Courtney Jarboe from Hogan Truck Leasing discussed the strong partnership between Ed’s Supply and Hogan. She also reinforced the importance of thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. These routine checks help prevent breakdowns, reduce risk, and ensure that our equipment stays in top working condition.
In addition to the training sessions, several of our valued vendors supported the event by providing giveaway and raffle items for our drivers. We are grateful to partner with vendors who are willing to invest in and support the men and women who keep our businesses moving every day.
At Ed’s Supply, safety is not just a policy. It is a commitment. Events like our Annual Driver Safety Meeting help reinforce best practices, strengthen partnerships, and remind our drivers how much they are appreciated. We are thankful for everyone who attended and contributed to making this year’s meeting a success.
